Paris, France – 4th day (06.06.12)

This day was reserved for the biggest sporting event in Paris in the month of June – French Open. One of the four Grand slam tournaments in Tennis.  Before heading to Rolland Garros, we took another look of Arc de Triomphe along Avenue of Champ Elysees.  It was about 15-20 mins from our hotel so, we leisurely walk our way while we enjoy the beautiful and historic buildings around Paris.

Entrance to Rolland Garros. Make sure you book your tickets in the correct French ticketing website. Stadium personnel will not accept tickets that bought outside the stadium.  Beware of scalpers selling tickets along the road leading to the main stadium.

There are lots of activities inside Rolland Garros to cater for the whole family.   There are activities for kids like tennis game playing in the sand. While roaming around the grounds of Rolland Garros, we’ve noticed a very large group of crowds converging in one of the small courts.

Roger Federer (RF), was practicing the day before his semi-final game against no. 1 Novak Djokovic.  As we all know, he lost that semi-final game in 3 sets.
